Reinstating our Commitment on Halal

Nestlé Malaysia’s Halal commitment is about trust and responsibility to produce safe, high quality food and beverages to all Malaysians in accordance to Syariah requirements.

As the Centre of Halal Excellence for the Nestlé Group for over 3 decades and the biggest Halal producer for the Group, we have paved the way for Halal certification for the industry, allowing us to explore business opportunities with other markets in various parts of the world.

Recently, Nestlé Malaysia signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Halal Industry Development Corporation (HDC) to create a stronger presence in the global Halal market, as well as to further promote Halal Malaysian products and to facilitate and develop greater enterprise development in the Halal sector.

In line with Nestlé’s philosophy of Creating Shared Value, Nestlé Malaysia and HDC together with SMECorp established the SME Mentoring Programme since 2009. This capacity building initiative endeavours to share Nestlé’s knowledge and world-class best practices in Halal management, production, sales and marketing to local SMEs in the Halal F&B industry. To date, over 300 SMEs have been successfully trained via the SME Mentoring Programme.
