Selamat Pagi and thank you for joining us today at this very fitting landmark. It pays tribute to the significant places and stories we want to remember and that have had an important role in the building of the nation and the development of our company.

We are pleased to be able to share with you our journey and incredible stories that we have created and collected during Nestlé’s presence in Malaysia over the last 100 years. And we are especially honoured that we are allowed to display them here at the National Museum.

Ladies and gentlemen,

Over the last century, our brands and community initiatives have touched the lives of many Malaysians, so much so that we are now a part of the history and heritage of this country. MILO, one of our most popular products, is more than just a beverage. It is a strong part of the school sports culture of this country, where almost every school kid remembers queuing up for their cup of energy-filled cold MILO from the MILO van during their school’s sports events. Today, the MILO van continues to be present at school fields all over the country, and MILO continues to strongly support the development of the nation’s school sports activities.

There are many more stories involving our other brands like MAGGI, NESCAFÉ, EVERYDAY, and I believe that Nestlé has created shared value in Malaysia, by supporting both the country and individuals, especially during the formative years. That is why we have chosen the theme for our celebrations to be “Nestlé 100 Tahun di sisimu”, which expresses the past and future commitment of Nestlé to be by the side of all Malaysians.

Ladies and gentlemen,

We are proud to have become a part of the Malaysian culture and society and I would like to take this opportunity to thank all Malaysians for welcoming us into their homes and making us a part of their families for generations.

For today, I would like to thank the many people who have made this exhibition possible, such as the collectors who kindly shared their precious items with us, the team who has put together this wonderful exhibition and of course to Dato’ Ibrahim Ismail, the Director General of Muzium Negara for allowing us to share our incredible stories in this historical place.

Terima kasih banyak to Datuk Ab. Ghaffar A.Tambi, Vice Secretary General of Ministry of Information, Communications and Culture for joining us today to officially launch the exhibition. Thank you Datuk.

I hope that you all will enjoy the Nestlé 100 Years in Malaysia exhibition and I can assure you that Nestlé is committed to continue delighting Malaysians, for many more years to come, with nutritious and tasty products in line with our motto of “GOOD FOOD, GOOD LIFE”.

Terima kasih.
