Sullivan O'Carroll
Managing Director of Nestlé (Malaysia) Berhad
Mr. Sullivan O’Carroll has been appointed the new Managing Director of Nestlé (Malaysia) Berhad effective 1 July 2003. A psychology graduate of the South African University in his home town of Pretoria, South Africa, Mr O'Carroll began his career with Nestlé more than 30 years ago in 1973, when he joined the company as a Merchandising Trainee in South Africa.
Seven years later, he was transferred to Randburg, South Africa, where he worked as Marketing Manager for the combined Coffee and Milk business.
In 1985, Mr O'Carroll became the Marketing and Sales Manager for the Confectionery business. He was posted to Nestlé’s headquarters in Vevey, Switzerland in 1993 and returned to South Africa in 1995 where he was responsible for an ice-cream joint venture business.
He then went on to manage the Culinary, Foodservice, Instant Drinks and Liquid Milks divisions there. Mr O'Carroll’s last posting before taking up his position in Malaysia was as President of Nestlé Polska, a position he had held since February 2002.
