As our corporate Ambassadors, our employees must deliver the promise of Good Food, Good Life in word and spirit. At Nestlé, employees enjoy various social benefits besides training and development, competitive remuneration and career advancement. It’s not suprising that Nestlé employees continue to serve until they retire.
The company invests substantially in employee development and social activities to provide “wellness at work” amid a safe and comfortable working environment. The Nestlé Recreation Clubs at all work locations are subsidised by the company to engage employees in physical and social activities and to encourage healthier lifestyles. Furthermore, company events such as the annual family day and annual staff party provide opportunities for the employee and family members to interact and network in a less formal environment.
Taking “wellness @ work” a step further, Nestlé recently launched its internal WellNes Programme for employees. Efforts are ongoing to create better awareness internally about good eating habits, encourage regular physical exercise and generally learning more about nutrition, health and wellness.
The employee volunteer programme, Nestlé R.O.C.K.s, an acronym for “Reaching Out to Community and Kids” was recently launched to bring employees together to volunteer for worthy causes which the company supports. Volunteers are given 16 hours “time-off” for voluntary work in a year. |
