Nestlé celebrates Good Food, Good Life on World Health Day

Back to Press releases

In conjunction with World Health Day, we reaffirm our commitment to provide ‘Good Food, Good Life’ to our consumers. Food and nutrition is the basis of health and of our business – it is the reason we exist.

Nutrition is one of our three key pillars for Creating Shared Value with society, thus we are dedicated to continue nourishing our consumers. As a responsible corporate citizen, Nestlé aims to encourage greater knowledge in nutrition and promote healthy lifestyles among consumers.

Sugar and sodium reduction in our products is also part of Nestlé’s commitment to provide healthier choices while maintaining the same great taste, in alignment with guidelines issued by the World Health Organisation. As part of our commitment to help reduce the risk of under-nutrition through micronutrient fortification, Nestlé Malaysia has delivered 3.1 billion fortified servings in 2015 itself. We will continue to drive technological innovations that will enable further reduction of public health sensitive nutrients in our products, without compromising on safety, quality and taste.

To encourage healthy lifestyles,we have established initiatives such as the Nestlé Healthy Kids (NHK) programme,a global initiative to raise awareness on nutrition, health and wellness and to promote physical activities among school-age children.  Collectively, this initiative has reached more than 10,000 schoolchildren in 177 schools.

Nestlé Malaysia is delighted to have nourished generations of Malaysians for over a hundred years, and we aim to continue nourishing generations to come. As we celebrate World Health Day today, let us all strive towards healthier diets and lifestyles together. More than just a tagline, ‘Good Food, Good Life’ captures the very essence of Nestlé and the promise we commit ourselves to everyday, everywhere, as the world’s leading Nutrition, Health and Wellness Company.
