In conjunction with the spirit of sharing and giving this Ramadhan, Nestlé Reaching Out to Communities and Kids (ROCKS) Employee Volunteer Programme recently treated 60 underprivileged children aged 7-12 years from Pusat Jagaan Lambaian Kasih to an iftar or buka puasa event. Held at Pusat Kreatif Kanak-Kanak Tuanku Bainun, Taman Tun Dr Ismail, the event was supported and sponsored by the Dairy team of Nestlé Malaysia.
Region Head of Nestlé Malaysia / Singapore, Mr. Alois Hofbauer also joined in the activity. As the call to prayer resounded signifying the breaking of fast, the excited children quenched their thirst with a signature cup of iced MILO from the MILO van.
Both children and our volunteers were all smiles as they mingled, getting to know one another as they tucked into an array of delectable local delicacies which included NESTUM Prawns, Chicken Rendang and traditional Malay kuih. The night ended on a sweet note as the children, teachers and caregivers parted ways with goody bags full of Nestlé goodies such as MILO, NESTUM and Nestlé Everyday Milk.
