In line with our commitment to promote healthy lifestyles amongst Malaysians, Nestlé Malaysia recently held its third installation of Train-the-Trainer workshop as part of its Nestlé Healthy Kids (NHK) Programme. Focused on improving nutrition knowledge and cultivating healthy lifestyle habits among students, the module is a result of Nestlé Malaysia’s collaboration with the Ministry of Education Malaysia and the Nutrition Society of Malaysia (NSM).

The three-day workshop led by prominent healthcare practitioners such as Dr. Zawiah Hashim, Dr. Chin Yit Siew, and Prof. Dr. Norimah A. Karim, saw an attendance of 166 participants ranging from Senior Assistants of Student Affairs to wardens from primary day-boarding schools in Sabah and Sarawak. The experts introduced the Phase 3 Modules which covered topics such as Healthy Food Preparation Methods, Reading Food Packaging Labels and Let’s Exercise and Do Sports for the participants to apply when they return.

As the leading Nutrition, Health and Wellness Company, we believe that good nutrition is vital for the wellbeing of all individuals. The NHK Programme was designed to address issues related to nutrition such as nutrition-related deficiencies and the rise in obesity rates especially amongst schoolchildren. This commitment is in accordance with our Creating Shared Value philosophy, where we believe that in order to create long-term value for the company, it must also create value for the society at the same time.
