Nestlé Malaysia to Welcome Two New Board Members

Nestlé (Malaysia) Berhad today announced the impending appointment of two new Independent and Non-Executive Directors to its Board: Dato’ Hamidah Naziadin and Datin Sri Azlin Arshad.

The appointment of Dato’ Hamidah and Datin Sri Azlin will take effect the day after the conclusion of Nestlé Malaysia’s upcoming Annual General Meeting (AGM).

Dato’ Hamidah has an illustrious career in the financial services industry, having been with CIMB Group for close to 30 years. Dato’ Hamidah currently serves as Group Chief People Officer of CIMB Group and Chief Executive Officer of CIMB Foundation. She also sits as a board member of Maxis Berhad and has been appointed as a CEO Mentor as part of Malaysia’s Ministry of Higher Education CEO@Faculty programme.

In her HR capacity, Dato’ Hamidah played an instrumental part of CIMB Group’s expansion across ASEAN markets in the past decade, and also drove several strategic transformation programmes which includes institutionalising CIMB Group’s corporate culture throughout its operating companies regionally as well as implementing progressive HR strategies and policies emphasising diversity and inclusion. Her achievements have led CIMB Group to be recognised for HR excellence and Employer Branding in both the national and international arena.

As the CEO of CIMB Foundation, Dato’ Hamidah has led the corporate social responsibility agenda of CIMB Group branding CIMB as an organisation with a heart both with its internal and external stakeholders, focusing on enhancing community development, sports and education including advocating financial literacy amongst the youth.

With over 10 years of senior management expertise, Datin Sri Azlin has vast professional experience in various industries. Key positions previously held include Vice President of the Industrial Development Division of Johor Corporation, member of the board of QSR Holdings Berhad and Chief Operating Officer of NJOI.

Prior to this, she was involved in investment banking for 19 years. Having held leadership roles in institutions such as Maybank Investment Bank Berhad and ECM Libra Group Berhad, she is well-versed in areas such as corporate finance and advisory, debt capital markets, structured lending, asset management, private equity, stockbroking and equities research, as well as oversight roles in compliance, risk management, internal audit and legal.

Datin Sri Azlin currently serves as Director of PayTV – SVP of Astro Malaysia Holdings Berhad, Director and Acting Head of Astro Awani and Deputy Chairman of Syarikat Takaful Keluarga Malaysia Berhad.

With their breadth of experience and expertise, the appointment of Dato’ Hamidah and Datin Sri Azlin to the Board will bring further diversity to the Board and continue to strongly support the Group’s aspirations to forge ahead in its journey.
