To extend a helping hand and bring more opportunities of joy to Malaysians during this unprecedented period, Nestlé Malaysia is extending Peraduan Nestlé Gaji Seumur Hidup (Nestlé ‘Salary for Life’ contest) for an additional month, until May 31, 2020, and adding 300 additional cash prizes to provide even more opportunities to win!

The extension will help Malaysians win five more ‘Salary for a Year’ prizes of RM3,000 for 12 months, and 200 more Weekly Prizes of RM500 each. Additionally, a new prize category has been added to award 100 ‘Salary for a Month’ bonus prizes worth RM3,000 each.

In total, 17 winners of the ‘Salary for a Year’ (RM36,000) will stand a chance of winning the two ‘Salary for Life’ Grand Prizes. To further support the vulnerable communities affected by the COVID-19 pandemic, each one of the 17 finalists will be able to nominate a charity of choice to receive a ‘Salary for a Year’ of RM36,000 each, as a cash contribution from Nestlé. For the charities nominated by the two Grand Prize ‘Salary for Life’ winners, the award will be doubled to RM72,000. In total, RM684,000 will be awarded to charitable organisations during the Grand Finale Prize Presentation.

Nestlé is also announcing the six first winners of a ‘Salary for a Year’, who are also finalists for the ‘Salary for Life’ Grand Prizes. The finalists are Yong Chong Lei from Perak, Azahari Bin Salleh from Terengganu, Amirrul Hafiz Bin Razak from Pahang, Nor Safiah Binti Tajuddin from Selangor, Khalaaivaaney A/P Eramakrishnan from Negeri Sembilan, and a lady from Kedah.

Quotes from a few finalists:

Azahari Bin Salleh, aged 42, from Dungun, Terengganu, plans to put the money to good use: “In addition to supporting my business that has been affected by the pandemic, I would like to start a new business with my family in the village. This will help me generate additional income and improve my family’s life. I also intend to donate my first winning salary to those who need it most, particularly those who are greatly affected by the COVID19 outbreak.”

Nor Safiah Binti Tajuddin, aged 32, from Kapar, Selangor said, “I feel very fortunate to be selected as a Salary for a Year winner and as one of the finalists for the Grand Prize. The fact that this is my first time participating in a contest makes it all the more special and exciting. This will help us with our daily essentials in order to survive, especially during this MCO period. Winning the Grand Prize would also mean the world to me as it would help my husband and I care for our two children who are still very young.”

Yong Chong Lei, aged 52, from Ayer Tawar, Perak, said, “I was speechless when I received the call from Nestlé and did not expect to be one of the lucky winners! In a way, this contest is helping to ease the financial burden faced by Malaysians at this time. This prize money will definitely go a long way to support my family and I am very thankful.”

Khalaaivaaney A/P Eramakrishnan, aged 32, from Seremban, Negeri Sembilan said, “No words can express how happy and blessed I feel to be chosen as one of the finalists for the Nestlé Salary for Life contest! Should I win the Grand Prize of a Salary for Life, I will use it for my child’s education.”

Amirrul Hafiz Bin Razak, aged 32, from Temerloh, Pahang, said, “First and foremost, I would like to thank Nestlé for giving me the opportunity to win a Salary for A Year! With this prize money, I can finally realise my lifelong dream of sending my parents to perform Umrah. My wife and I are also expecting our first child in September and this money would definitely help us with the process. Thank you Nestlé, for giving me this opportunity of a lifetime.

With the contest extended to 31 May 2020, all those keen to participate can still easily purchase Nestlé products in retail stores and also on e-commerce websites such as Lazada and Shopee. Entries can be submitted via Whatsapp. Consumers can also keep their receipts and submit entries via post. To take part, consumers only need to purchase a minimum of RM15 worth of participating Nestlé products in a single receipt and answer a simple question.
