ROCKS Slipper Project

ROCKS Slipper Project

14 April 2016 - The caring employees of Nestlé Malaysia recently collected a whopping 428 pairs of slippers for the Homeless Selipar Project, a joint project between Nestlé Malaysia’s employee volunteer programme, Reaching out to Communities and Kids (ROCKS) and Empire Project. The event successfully collected more than the targeted 300 pairs of new slippers to be given to the homeless community in the heart of Kuala Lumpur.

The Empire Project is a group dedicated to assisting the homeless community. Spearheaded during his off-work hours by our very own Nestlé employee, Mohd Ashraff Khan Md Najib of Facility Services Department, the organisation calls for volunteers on a monthly basis to join hands in various street activities including street-feeding and distribution of basic necessities such as hygiene products. Empire Project is also the pioneer of the ChowKid Birthday Parties which celebrates the birthdays of the street kids of Chow Kit Road.

ROCKS is an employee volunteer programme which mobilises our workforce to do their bit for society. Fondly known as ROCKers, these dedicated individuals volunteer their time for charitable causes organised by the company.
