Having been pioneering Halal in the Malaysian food and beverage industry since the 1980s, Nestlé Malaysia currently produces more than 500 Halal products and is the biggest Halal producer in the Nestlé world. Out of over 180 markets worldwide, Nestlé Malaysia is recognised as the global Halal Centre of Excellence for the Nestlé Group thanks to our strictest adherence and implementation of our Halal standards across our value chain.
We only manufacture, import and distribute products which have been certified Halal by the Department of Islamic Development Malaysia (JAKIM) and the relevant recognised Islamic authorities.
Besides strict compliance to Syariah requirements, our products also adhere to the highest quality and hygiene standards which is appreciated by both Muslim and non-Muslim consumers. With our locally-manufactured products being exported to over 50 countries across the world, and having operated in Malaysia for over 100 years today, we uphold this promise strictly without compromise.

Yes. All Nestlé products manufactured, imported, and distributed in Malaysia are certified halal by JAKIM (Department of Islamic Development Malaysia) or other JAKIM’s recognised Islamic authorities globally. Halal practices are embedded throughout our value chain, from sourcing raw materials to manufacturing, packaging, logistics, and distribution, ensuring we uphold consumer trust in our halal integrity.
Halalan Toyyiban refers to what is permissible and wholesome in Islam. It’s holistic concept encompassing both lawful (halal) and good/ethical (toyyib) aspects. It goes beyond dietary laws, extending to all aspects of life.
Absolutely. Nestlé Malaysia holds valid halal certifications for over 500 products, making us the largest halal producer within the Nestlé Group globally. We were also among the first F&B company in Malaysia to be certified halal by JAKIM in 1994, after pioneering halal practices since the 1970s.

Nestlé Malaysia has played a key role in the development of Malaysia’s halal ecosystem. We contributed to the establishment of the Malaysian Halal Certification and the Malaysian Standard on Halal Food (MS 1500).
