Relief supplies already enroute to support flood impacted communities across the Nation
Nestlé Malaysia and the Malaysian Red Crescent (MRC) are joining forces again in 2026 to mobilise flood aid nutrition supplies to support up to 7,000 families in communities at risk from the monsoon, with these donations already enroute to Kedah, Kelantan, Pahang and Terengganu as preparations intensify for potential flooding. In Sabah, the preparedness effort is being carried out locally, with 40 volunteers from Nestlé's Sabah operations, Harrisons Sabah and MRC Sabah coming together to prepare 1,000 flood aid bags for deployment within the state.

Nestlé Malaysia’s annual Nationwide Flood Aid Relief initiative marks the fourth consecutive year of collaboration with the Malaysian Red Crescent, strengthening efforts to respond swiftly to communities affected by floods across the country. Since 2023, the partnership has brought relief to more than 30,000 families affected by floods, while also supporting MRC’s emergency response capabilities, including through funding for MRC equipment such as their latest ambulance unit. Nestlé Malaysia’s contribution of products in-kind and financial support for this year’s effort is valued at approximately RM1.8 million.

Juan Aranols, Chief Executive Officer of Nestlé Malaysia, said, “When communities are facing the threat of floods, being prepared can make an important difference. Our priority is to ensure that essential food and beverage supplies are packed and ready to reach affected communities quickly when the need arises. Working alongside the Malaysian Red Crescent allows us to turn that readiness into action, drawing on their humanitarian reach and experience on the ground. I am especially grateful to our employees and all the volunteers who came together to prepare these 7,000 nutrition aid packs for communities across Malaysia.”
YTM Tan Sri Tunku Puteri Intan Safinaz binti Almarhum Sultan Abdul Halim Mu’adzam Shah, National Chairperson of MRC, said, “Flood response begins well before floodwaters rise. Having essential supplies prepared and positioned in advance enables humanitarian assistance to be mobilised more effectively when communities need it. Our continued collaboration with Nestlé Malaysia strengthens this preparedness, combining the commitment of volunteers with MRC’s humanitarian network. The additional packing effort in Sabah this year further strengthens our ability to support communities there when the need arises.”

The Kuala Lumpur packing effort brought together Nestlé Malaysia employees and MRC volunteers, alongside representatives from the Universiti Malaya, Universiti Malaya-Wales and Yayasan Wakaf. Together, they prepared nutrition aid boxes containing a selection of essential Nestlé products, including MILO, MAGGI, NESCAFÉ, NESTLÉ Breakfast Cereals, NESTUM, LACTOGROW and EVERYDAY.

The packing event was attended by YTM Tan Sri Tunku Puteri Intan Safinaz binti Almarhum Sultan Abdul Halim Mu’adzam Shah. The initiative also involves the National Disaster Management Agency (NADMA) and its agencies as partners supporting this year's flood relief efforts.
This collaboration is part of Nestlé Sayang Komuniti, which mobilises Nestlé employees to contribute to community and humanitarian causes across Malaysia. It also complements Nestlé Malaysia’s recent collaboration with Yayasan Food Bank Malaysia, through which 800 food and nutrition aid packs were prepared for families in the remote areas of Tumpat and Jeli, Kelantan, ahead of the monsoon season. In total, 400 employees joined hands to contribute to this year’s effort.
