MAGGI Spreads Double the Joy for Pesta Kaamatan with Jom Masak, Menang & Kongsi Bersama Campaign

Raises Funds for Malaysian Red Crescent Society and Hope Place

Kota Kinabalu, 30 April 2023 – Kotobian Tadau Tagazo do Kaamatan! In celebration of the traditional harvest festival in Sabah, MAGGI is thrilled to bring back its Jom Masak, Menang & Kongsi Bersama campaign, commemorating Pesta Kaamatan and rewarding Sabahans with exciting prizes!

Held from May 1 to June 30, 2023, the annual campaign is aimed at delighting Malaysians in Sabah with delicious home-cooked dishes for Pesta Kaamatan, in addition to various celebratory activities including a Corporate Social Responsibility fundraising initiative. Simply by cooking with MAGGI’s versatile portfolio of tasty products, consumers stand a chance to win prizes amounting to a total of RM135,000, including the highly sought-after Proton X7 SUV as the Grand Prize!

The campaign was launched by YB Tuan Samad Bin Jambri, Assistant Minister of Rural Development of Sabah. Also present were Ms Lim Siew Ling, Consumer Marketing Manager of MAGGI, Nestlé (Malaysia) Berhad. Nestlé Corporate Executive Chef, Chef Muluk, also held a cooking demonstration, preparing scrumptious Kaamatan fare with MAGGI products.

Ms Lim Siew Ling, Consumer Marketing Manager of MAGGI, Nestlé (Malaysia) Berhad, said, “Since 2015, it has become an annual tradition for MAGGI to commemorate Pesta Kaamatan, which is traditionally celebrated by the indigenous communities in Sabah to mark the end of the harvesting season. We are honoured to do so once again this year while encouraging families and communities to enjoy well-balanced home-made meals, both in everyday cooking and for this special occasion, true to MAGGI’s brand promise of Cook the Difference.”

Furthermore, in keeping with the spirit of sharing joy which is at the heart of Kaamatan, Sabahans who take part in the campaign will also be able to contribute to a worthy cause. For every entry form submitted, MAGGI has pledged to donate RM0.10 to the Malaysian Red Crescent Society, which will be channelled to provide food and aid to communities in need in Sabah.

YB Tuan Samad Bin Jambri, Assistant Minister of Rural Development of Sabah, said, “The Kaamatan harvest festival is of great cultural significance in Sabah, and we are delighted that MAGGI is commemorating this once again with its annual campaign. In addition to spreading awareness of Sabah’s cultural heritage, this also allows MAGGI to give back to those in need through charitable donations, which is well-aligned with the Government’s efforts to provide support for disadvantaged communities and B40 households.”

To participate in the Jom Masak, Menang & Kongsi Bersama campaign, simply purchase any MAGGI product with a receipt from participating retailers, write your name and MyKad details on the receipt and submit a photo of the receipt via WhatsApp to 018 388 3533. Alternatively, entry forms can be sent to a P.O. Box or via MAGGI Ambassadors at various locations. Participants can submit as many entries as they wish, as there is no limit to the number of submissions. The more entries submitted, the greater the chance of winning! The contest is open to all Malaysians residing in Sabah only.  

During the campaign, along with the Grand Prize, there will be weekly cash prize giveaways of RM100 for 160 lucky winners. Also up for grabs are Philips TVs worth RM2,000 each for three first-prize winners, Phillips Air Fryers worth RM680 each for six second-prize winners, and Kitchenware sets worth RM200 each for 60 third-prize winners.
