Close to 5,000 participants in attendance
KUCHING, JULY 3, 2023 – The much-anticipated MILO Malaysia Breakfast Day (MBD) 2023, the nation's largest breakfast event, made its triumphant comeback as it kicked off in the captivating Land of the Hornbills!
With a mission to champion healthy breakfast habits and promote an active lifestyle among Malaysians, MBD Sarawak witnessed an overwhelming response from the crowd, with approximately 5,000 participants flocking to Celebration Square Stadium Sarawak as early as 6am despite the heavy downpour.
Ng Su Yen, Business Executive Officer, MILO, Nestlé (Malaysia) Berhad said, “It feels truly great to be back after a hiatus during the COVID-19 pandemic and reunite with our loyal fans for this positive breakfast movement. We are incredibly heartened to witness that MBD continues to serve as a platform for Malaysians to gather and embrace the value of a healthy, balanced breakfast. This unwavering community spirit showcased by Malaysians never fails to inspire us and drives us to further our commitment to sports advocacy and community development, helping to foster a health-conscious nation."
Participants from Kuching as well as various districts eagerly gathered to take part in the diverse range of activities and experiences offered at this year's event. Taking centre stage was the MILO Goodness Workout session, an all-new MBD activity debuting for the first time in Sarawak. Participants also had the opportunity to engage in other fitness activities such as Zumba, ensuring an enjoyable experience for all attendees.
Alongside the fitness activities, a wide array of fun and educational games awaited participants this year. The games focused on raising awareness on healthy lifestyles, the goodness of MILO, and tips to stay active at home. Adding to the vibrant atmosphere, attendees had the opportunity to enjoy a diverse range of performances, including wushu and taekwondo demonstrations, a captivating drum performance, and a unique cultural showcase called ‘Suk Binie’, featuring traditional Dayak music with a contemporary touch.
MILO Malaysia Breakfast Day 2023 will make its next stop in Kota Kinabalu, Sabah on July 16, before concluding in Putrajaya for two days on July 29 and 30. For more details on MBD, please visit www.milo.com.my.
