Johor and Sabah sealed the victories in the nationwide futsal tournament
The crowd came together to celebrate the crowning of MILO® Hidup Bola new champions after an intense kick-off! MILO® Hidup Bola, Malaysia’s largest futsal tournament for inspiring futsal and football talents, returned for its 20th instalment, attracting over 8,000 players from across the country. After a demanding national qualification process, only 32 teams from the under-12 and under-16 categories advanced to the Grand Finals, held at Futsalhub, Ampang, Selangor.
Running from May to August, the nationwide grassroots futsal programme celebrates its 20th anniversary this year. The tournament travels through all 14 states and the Federal Territory of Kuala Lumpur, engaging 408 teams of U12 and 540 teams of U16 through enjoyable, competitive futsal carnivals, totalling 948 teams. The journey culminates in an exhilarating Grand Final where the top teams from each state compete for national titles and prizes.
Team Stylo Mylo Orange from Johor clinched the win for the under-12 category, while Team Seven Five 01 from Tawau took the crown for the under-16 category, marking the first Sabahan team to ever reach the finals and win the championship. Both teams sealed their victories with high-energy matches and earned top shares of the RM 94,000 prize pool.
The match for under-16 began at a blistering pace, with each side determined to seize the advantage. Team Court Soccer ‘B’ from Kuala Lumpur showcased their trademark defensive discipline and swift counterattacks, while Seven Five 01 pressed forward with relentless attacking play and fearless challenges. The ball changed hands multiple times, keeping the crowd on edge from start to finish.
Over to the under-12 category, the final became a showcase of contrasting futsal philosophies. Wafie FT from Selangor executed clinical, well-structured play, while Stylo Mylo Orange brought flair and unpredictable creativity to the court. Fans witnessed a thrilling tug-of-war between strategy and spontaneity.
In addition, Muhammad Adith Iqram bin Fardhli Hamzie and Muhammad Adil Qayyum bin Jamaluddin were awarded the tournament’s Best Player Award for the under-12 and under-16 categories, respectively. Mohammad Aniq Zahfran bin Junaidi (U12) and Muhamad Arifin bin Abdul Rahman (U16), were awarded the Best Goalkeeper award.
“We believe every child deserves the chance to dream. By providing quality coaching, healthy competition and character-building experiences, MILO® Hidup Bola invests in both the nation’s sporting future and its future leaders.
