KUALA LUMPUR, March 20, 2025 – Embracing the essence of Ramadan, a time of reflection, generosity and unity, Nestlé Malaysia continues to extend a helping hand to those in need. Collaborating with local partners, including NGOs, religious bodies, universities and community organisations, the Company is spearheading programmes across the nation to provide nourishment to underserved families and communities, ensuring they can share in the blessings of this holy month.

Juan Aranols, Chief Executive Officer of Nestlé Malaysia, stated, “For over 112 years, Nestlé Malaysia has been unwavering in its commitment to uplifting the communities we serve, and this remains especially important during Ramadan and the upcoming Eid festivities. Through our initiatives, along with the dedicated efforts of our Nestlé volunteers and partners actively engaging with vulnerable communities, we strive to create a meaningful and lasting impact for families and individuals in need. We are profoundly grateful for our collaborations and remain dedicated to foster connections that bring Malaysians together in the true spirit of Ramadan, with the hope of continuing this important work well into the future.”

As part of these efforts, in partnership with JAWI Food Bank, Nestlé Malaysia donated 5,000 Bakul Ramadan food packs to B40 families within the Klang Valley benefiting vulnerable groups such as residents of Rumah Teduh, Asrama Darul Falah Orang Asli and Persatuan Orang-Orang Cacat Penglihatan Islam Malaysia amongst others. These included essential food products aimed to provide families with nutritious staples to sustain them during Ramadan, such as MILO, NESCAFÉ, MAGGI, NESTUM and NESPRAY Milk.

Collaborating with local universities, the company aided students eligible for zakat assistance to ensure they had access to balanced meals. This initiative included students and volunteers participating in gotong-royong to prepare and distribute MAGGI Bubur Lambuk targeting East Coast communities through Universiti Sains Islam Malaysia, International Islamic University Malaysia, Universiti Malaysia Terengganu, and Universiti Malaysia Kelantan. Furthermore, 1,500 Bakul Ramadan were given to support marginalised communities in these areas. In an exclusive partnership with Yayasan Didik Negara, MILO® also distributed 1,100 Bakul Ramadan kits to students and families in need across six states as part of the Jaulah Ramadan 2025 program.

Nestlé Malaysia's outreach extended also through a partnership with Persatuan Pengusaha Restoran Muslim Malaysia (PRESMA), which hosted a Majlis Berbuka Puasa and distributed Ramadan and Hari Raya aid to 2,500 families. Additionally, Nestlé Malaysia furthered its commitment to uplifting communities by teaming up with Malaysian Humanitarian Aid and Relief (MAHAR) to assist 400 vulnerable refugee families with Nestlé product donations and financial aid.

Nationwide, MAGGI through its 20-year long tradition distributed 300,000 bowls of the iconic MAGGI Bubur Lambuk in underserved communities, while NESCAFÉ and MILO offered beverages at 80 mosques across eight locations, enhancing the communal iftar experience.

In total, Nestlé Malaysia contributed RM1.5 million worth of food aid during the fasting month, reaching over 20,000 marginalized families nationwide. Aligned with its “Good food, Good life” promise, Nestlé Malaysia is committed to providing Halal, nutritious, and high-quality products, with sustainability at the core of its business, made in Malaysia, by Malaysians, for all Malaysians. These initiatives reflect the company’s ongoing mission to nourish communities and contribute to a better future.
