Launched in August 2010, the programme is aimed at improving nutrition knowledge and promoting active lifestyles among school-going children aged 7 – 12 years. The programme is timely in view of the significant prevalence of nutrition-related problems, such as nutrient deficiencies and obesity among Malaysian schoolchildren.
Programme description
The Nestlé Healthy Kids Programme (Primary School Component) was launched in August 2010 in collaboration with the Ministry of Education (MoE) and Nutrition Society of Malaysia (NSM), aimed at improving nutrition knowledge and promoting active lifestyle among schoolchildren aged 7 to 12 years.
