MAGGI Celebrates Pesta Gawai with ‘Jom Masak, Menang & Kongsi Bersama’ Campaign

Raises Funds for Malaysian Red Crescent Society and Hope Place

Miri, 29 April 2023 – Gayu Guru Gerai Nyamai! The beloved phrase that conveys the essence of longevity, health and prosperity is set to come alive once again this festive season, as MAGGI’s Jom Masak, Menang & Kongsi Bersama campaign returns in conjunction with Sarawak’s Pesta Gawai!

Aimed at spreading happiness and inspiring Sarawakians to cook up delicious meals with MAGGI’s wide range of products to commemorate the end of the harvesting season, the annual campaign is taking things up a notch with its largest giveaways to date worth a total of RM135,000 from May 1 to June 30, 2023, including the much-coveted Grand Prize of a brand-new Proton X70 SUV!

The launch of the campaign was officiated by YB Adam Yii Siew Sang, Datuk Bandar Miri, with Ms Lim Siew Ling, Consumer Marketing Manager of MAGGI, Nestlé (Malaysia) Berhad in attendance. Chef Muluk, Nestlé Corporate Executive Chef, also held a cooking demonstration whipping up delicious Gawai dishes with MAGGI products.

Ms Lim Siew Ling, Consumer Marketing Manager of MAGGI, Nestlé (Malaysia) Berhad, said, "In the spirit of Gawai, we are truly humbled to be able to celebrate this cultural festival and share the joy with Sarawakians. This campaign is part of an annual effort by MAGGI, in line with our brand promise of Cook the Difference which embodies our aspiration to support Malaysians in the kitchen to create wholesome home-cooked meals for their families and communities, made with tasty and balanced MAGGI offerings."

On top of this, embracing the Gawai culture of sharing blessings, Sarawakians will be able to give back to vulnerable communities simply by taking part in the campaign. With every entry form submitted, MAGGI will donate RM0.10 to two local non-governmental organisations the Malaysian Red Crescent Society and Hope Place, which will go towards supporting communities in need.

Along with making the Gawai festivities brighter, the campaign also contributes to the local community in need. This is indeed a commendable annual initiative by MAGGI to uphold its enduring bond with Sarawakians.”

To participate in the Jom Masak, Menang & Kongsi Bersama campaign, simply purchase any MAGGI product with a receipt from participating retailers, write your name and MyKad details on the receipt and submit a photo of the receipt via WhatsApp to 018 388 3533. Alternatively, entry forms can be sent to a P.O. Box or via MAGGI Ambassadors at various locations. Participants can submit as many entries as they wish, as there is no limit to the number of submissions. The contest is open to all Malaysians residing in Sarawak only.  

During the campaign, along with the Grand Prize, there will be weekly cash prize giveaways of RM100 for 160 lucky winners. Also up for grabs are Philips TVs worth RM2,000 each for three first-prize winners, Phillips Air Fryers worth RM680 each for six second-prize winners, and Kitchenware sets worth RM200 each for 60 third-prize winners.
