Kuala Lumpur, 4 April 2022 Nespresso is introducing three new espressos to its Nespresso World Explorations range, featuring the cities of Paris, Istanbul and Rio de Janeiro. The new World Exploration Espressos range brings coffee enthusiasts on a journey to experience coffee the way locals do in the respective cities.

Inspired by each city’s strong coffee heritage, the Nespresso World Explorations captures the city’s preferred coffee profiles in every cup. From there, coffee lovers can discover the rich café culture of World Explorations Paris Espresso, the ancient Turkish brewing tradition of World Explorations Istanbul Espresso, and the deeply-rooted heritage of World Explorations Rio de Janeiro Espresso.

World Explorations Paris Espresso 

With its rich café culture where locals enjoy philosophising over a coffee, the World Explorations Paris Espresso transports coffee lovers straight to the Parisian terraces with its balanced blend of lightly roasted Latin American Arabicas, emboldened by Vietnamese Robusta. Delicately bitter with cereal and citrus notes, this is a cup that lives up to the Parisian café experience.

The World Explorations Paris Espresso is best enjoyed black or with milk as a café au lait, and best served with a French pastry.

Like the traditional Turkish coffee, the World Explorations Istanbul Espresso marries Ethiopian Arabica and Indian Robusta to bring a thick and velvety flavour profile that reminds coffee lovers of the city that was once at the crossroad of ancient coffee trade routes.

The World Explorations Istanbul Espresso is best served as an espresso, accompanied by a glass of water and a piece of Turkish Delight, or with milk as a latte machiatto.

The range is an intense, exotic and velvety espresso, crafted exclusively with Brazilian Arabicas, boasting a unique touch of sandalwood, along with herbal notes.

The World Explorations Rio de Janeiro Espresso is best enjoyed as a double espresso with hot water to bring out the smooth Carioca coffee, or with milk as a delicious cup of cappuccino.

Here are some coffee recipes for coffee lovers to experience the local taste of the new cities:

Paris Café Gourmandise

Paris Café Gourmandise

Ingredients:
1 capsule of World Explorations Paris Espresso (40ml)
30ml of 1.5% Milk Foam
Macaron

Materials:
VIEW Espresso Cup
Nespresso Barista Device

Steps:
1. Pour 100ml of 1.5% milk into your Nespresso Barista Device. Close the lid, select the “Cappuccino” recipe on the device and press the start button.
2. Extract 40ml of World Explorations Paris Espresso into a VIEW Espresso Cup.
3. Spoon the milk foam over the coffee using the Nespresso Barista Device spoon.
4. Garnish with half a macaron.

Paris Chocolat Noir

Ingredients:
1 capsule of World Explorations Paris Espresso (40ml)
Nespresso dark chocolate square
Cocoa powder

Materials:
VIEW Espresso Cup

Steps:
1. Break a square of Nespresso Dark Chocolate into four pieces and place it at the bottom of a VIEW Espresso Cup.
2. Extract 40ml of World Explorations Paris Espresso over the chocolate pieces.
3. Sprinkle some cocoa powder over the coffee.

Istanbul Silky Crunch

Istanbul Silky Crunch

Ingredients:
1 capsule World Explorations Istanbul Espresso (40ml)
5g honey
100ml 1.5% milk
Pistachios

Materials:
VIEW Recipe Glass
Nespresso Barista Device

Steps:
1. Pour 100 ml of 1.5% milk directly into the Nespresso Barista Device. Close the lid, select the “Latte Macchiato” recipe on the device and press the start button.
2. Add 5g of honey into a VIEW Recipe Glass and pour in the hot milk and foam.
3. Extract 40ml of World Explorations Istanbul Espresso into the VIEW Recipe Glass.
4. Arrange the pistachio pieces on the milk foam and drizzle some extra honey over it.

Istanbul Citrus Spice

Istanbul Citrus Spice

Ingredients:
1 capsule of World Explorations Istanbul Espresso (40ml)
Cardamon seeds
Fresh lemon peel

Materials:
VIEW Espresso Cup

Steps:
1. Crack open a cardamom pod shell and pull out the seeds.
2. Place the cardamom seeds in a VIEW Espresso Cup and rub the rim of the cup with fresh lemon peel before adding it in with the seeds.
3. Extract 40ml of World Explorations Istanbul Espresso into the VIEW Espresso Cup.

Tropical Iced Rio

Tropical Iced Rio

Ingredients:
1 capsule of World Explorations Rio de Janeiro Espresso (40ml)
4 ice cubes (131ml)
Fresh lime
2 sticks (8g) brown sugar
2g gum syrup
60ml still water

Materials:
VIEW Recipe Glass

Steps:
1. Place 16 fresh lime wedges and 8g of brown sugar (2 brown sugar sticks) into a VIEW Recipe Glass.
2. Mix the ingredients.
3. Add 2g of gum syrup.
4. Add four (30g) ice cubes and pour in 60ml of water.
5. Stir slowly with a spoon.
6. Extract 40ml of World Explorations Rio de Janeiro Espresso into the cup.
7. Garnish with a slice of fresh lime on the rim of the glass.

Tropical Sweet Lime

Tropical Sweet Lime

Ingredients:
1 capsule of World Explorations Rio de Janeiro Espresso (40ml)
1 stick (4g) Nespresso brown sugar
Fresh lime peel

Materials:
VIEW Espresso Cup

Steps:
1. Add 1 stick (4g) of brown sugar in a VIEW Espresso Cup.
2. Rub the rim of the glass with a fresh peel before adding it into the cup.
3. Extract 40ml of World Explorations Rio de Janeiro Espresso over it.
