Ingredients:

300g Brown rice, cooked and cooled
60ml Vinegar
4 pcs Dried nori sheets
200g Japanese cucumber, cut into 5cm batons
150g Avocado, sliced thinly
60ml Cold water

Method:

  1. Prepare the rice prior to assembly.
  2. In a bowl, combine vinegar and water, creating a vinegar-water mixture for later use.
  3. Begin by laying a sheet of nori on a bamboo mat. Dip your hands into the water-vinegar mixture, then use your hands to evenly spread the rice over the bottom 2/3 of the nori sheet, being mindful to leave the edges free from rice.
  4. Arrange the sliced avocado and cucumber lengthwise, placing them strategically at the center of the rice bed. Now, use the bamboo mat to roll the nori sheet away from you, bringing all the delightful elements together into complete roll. Wrap each completed sushi roll in cling wrap or carefully cover it with a damp towel, ensuring that the nori doesn’t dry out. If you have the time, consider allowing the rolled sushi to rest for approximately 30 minutes before proceeding with slicing and serving. This brief interlude enhances the melding of flavors within your creation, promising a truly extraordinary culinary experience.
